Arthur B. McDonald Fellowships are awarded annually to recognize early stage academic researchers in the natural sciences and engineering and to enhance their research capacity so that they can become leaders in their field and inspire others.

Research Facility Support Grants (RFSG) provide funding to extend the useful life of shared equipment at UBC through support for their operation, replacement of parts, repair or upgrade.

RFSGs provide up to $50,000 for a term of one year to improve the capabilities of shared equipment, or to provide one-time bridge funding to support staff in shared facilities.

Researchers located on the UBC Vancouver campus and affiliated hospital sites are eligible to apply.

A new ‘EDI in Research’ course is now available through UBC Workplace Learning. This new online course is specifically developed for faculty, staff and students involved in research, to support the learning and implementation of appropriate equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) practices within the UBC research ecosystem.

The development of this course was a collaboration between units in the Vice-President, Research and Innovation portfolio and the Equity and Inclusion Office.
