Funding Recipients

This contribution, through the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF), will help universities more competitively recruit and retain outstanding researchers by helping acquire the state-of-the-art labs, equipment and facilities they need to make discoveries that will have an impact on Canadians.

The BC Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF) has awarded over $20 million for 78 research projects being led by researchers at the University of British Columbia.

Funding includes 16 awards to UBC faculty members through the Scholar Program and 36 awards to UBC research trainees to support health research at UBC and its affiliated health research institutions.

A total of 160 programs and projects led by UBC researchers were awarded funding through the 2022 NSERC research grants competition.
