Funding includes 33 Project Grants and 8 Priority Announcement Grants for projects led by UBC researchers
Canada’s Department of National Defence has announced its support for 48 research and development projects, valued at approximately $8.64 million, aimed at addressing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The projects were funded through the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program.
Three projects led by UBC researchers received support for their projects through contribution agreements with the Department of National Defence.
Nine projects led by UBC researchers awarded $28.3m in funding. UBC researchers are also collaborators on seven projects being led by other institutions.
The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) funding through the 2020 Convening & Collaborating (C2) and Reach competitions will create pathways from research evidence to impact and help ensure that cutting-edge health research can directly improve the health of British Columbians and BC’s health system.
These collaborative teams consisting of researchers, health professionals, trainees, and research users, are investigating research areas that address BC health system priorities.
